It is my time to leave. I usually am not one to give up my sites but I’ve come to realise that I cannot keep up with all my sites and when it came down to it Precious Stone was just the first one to go, mainly because I got such a wonderful co-web here Claudia who will now be taking over the ownership of the site. You won’t really be seing any difference except for the owner name since Claudia has been the one keeping this site alive for a while. So this is really just me saying my goodbyes (or well not completely since I’ll help Claudia behind the scenes).

Take care and give your love to Claudia.

this beautiful interview page was given by LApprgirl (thank you very much) and I’m giving you a rapid translation of it. Considering it comes from February 26, 2010, it might contain spoiler for those who haven’t seen season six episodes yet. As the interview is not completed I will just translate till the first full stop before the end. If anyone gets with the complete scan please e-mail me. thanks!

Lisa, she plays

Lisa Edelstein met with us to give one exclusive interview. She puts off the veils on an key-episode from the serie, about Cuddy’s much more sexy side and talk about Hugh Laurie too.

You are about to having recorded a sexy scene, naked in the shower. How was that?
I work with those people it’s more than six years so far. It was a little bit strange at first to play quite naked. But they have been all gentlemen, du mois si j’en crois ce que j’ai pu entendre (I’m sorry I’m italian and this is really impossible to me to translate!). It’s a scene in the shower with fume, and the crew need more than one day to put it all together on the set.

Did you need particular things to feel comfortable?
The serie spread on a public channel on all United States. No way you can show boobs on screen! [...]

The short answer is, well, no.

Fresh from a Cuddy-centric episode, a comment Lisa Edelstein made to Jewish Exponent had some House fans concerned about the Dean’s tenure on both Princeton Plainsboro and House.

“I’m a bit fickle,” Edelstein had said in relation to finding fulfillment in her current job. “So, I think a good seven years of satisfaction [as Dr. Lisa Cuddy] will lead me to the next phase.”

Does it sound like Edelstein, 43, is ready to look on to other things once her seven-season contract on House is done?

source

Lisa Edelstein explains: ‘I will not let House’

Contrary to what the fans understood from a comment from Lisa Edelstein she did in an interview with the “Jewish Exponent, Philadelphia, the actress will not let the medical series” House. ” The misunderstanding was because she said she was “a little shaky” when asked if he felt “complete” with the current work. “I think we met seven years as Dr. Lisa Cuddy will take me to a new phase,” added Edelstein.

With commentary, fans were daring and fearful that the actress left the series ahead of schedule or as soon as his contract ran out. But in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress reassured “housemaníacos” and assured that the comment is not as tragic as it seems and that she was just being pragmatic.

“I asked how would be life after the House, so I gave that answer,” she said. “I do not plan to leave the show. I just do not like to count chickens before they hatch. My contract is seven years, so that’s what I said,” saying the series is to end the contract. “But if they (the producers) want me any longer, I accept. I love my job!” she added.

Actor Lisa Edelstein, who plays Dr. Lisa Cuddy on the hit series HouseM.D. after high-profile turns in Seinfeld, Ally McBeal, and Felicity, can pinpoint when she became an advocate for animals. Especially, she says, for household pets that are so often dumped — and frequently “put down” when no one claims them — in shelters all across the country.

“I was 11 and my family adopted a cat,” she tells WebMD the Magazine. “And it turned out the cat was pregnant. I was there for the birth of her kittens. I helped raise them until they were old enough to be adopted. My dad, who’s a pediatrician, found homes for them because we couldn’t care for them all. The poor mother cried for her babies, but I told myself we were doing what was best for them — until I learned a short time later every single one of those kittens had died through the irresponsibility of those who’d adopted them.” She sighs. “I was just devastated. And I guess that’s when I first got interested in this.”
Best Friends Animal Sanctuary

“This” is her passion for animal rescue in general, and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, specifically. Based in Utah, Best Friends houses between 1,700 and 2,000 dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and even horses that have been discarded, abused, or both, delivered from shelters across the country that could no longer keep them.

A leading force in the no-kill shelter movement, its efforts have helped reduce American shelter killings from an astounding high of 17 million dogs and cats per year in the mid-1980s to 5 million annually today. Working through a network of Best Friends affiliates — including in Los Angeles, where Edelstein, a vegetarian for 28 years, gives her time — the group’s ambitious mission is to bring that number down to zero through neutering and spaying programs, adoption drives, and education.

“I find it amazing there are so many people out there — although it is getting better — who treat their pets like possessions they can simply get rid of, as opposed to living, breathing creatures that are totally dependent on us,” says Edelstein.

Lisa Edelstein’s Pets
Edelstein has since rescued four “mutts.” The first three, Sandwich, Bumpa, and Wolf E. lived long lives before succumbing to old age and illness. Edelstein nursed them through kidney failure, pancreatic cancer, and eye surgeries. She now lives with Shazam!, a young schnauzer/poodle mix, and a black and white cat, Bug, 18.

After enduring trauma, many rescue animals have behavioral quirks that range from relieving themselves where they shouldn’t (inside the house for dogs, outside the litter box for cats) to aggression problems. Edelstein sought out animal trainer Cesar Millan (of Dog Whisperer fame) to help her work out Wolf E.’s bad habits — and her own.

Lisa Edelstein’s Pets continued…
“Wolf E. got attacked a lot when I’d take the dogs out,” says Edelstein. “Cesar taught me so much. It was me who wasn’t doing what I was supposed to be doing — I wasn’t bringing stability to my pack. But when I stayed out front and led and reacted calmly to new dogs approaching, Wolf. E. and the others stayed calm, too.”

Even with the extra TLC some shelter animals need, Edelstein is first to declare how much she’s gained from her rescued pets. “It’s incredible. They’ve given me far more than I’ve given them.”

Her advice for keeping pets healthy and happy? “Don’t overfeed them — it’s a form of abuse, and will lead to all sorts of medical problems down the line. If you own a dog, take them to a park and socialize them. Give them lots of exercise. If you’re too busy, hire a dog walker.

“And love them, of course,” she adds. “That goes without saying.”
